Ben Pugh Kyosho 10th Racer Bio.

[:en]I was recently talking with the Sam Pugh, Mum of one of our young Kyosho drivers who started RC racing 2 years ago as a complete novice, and recently and become F1 graded in the highly competitive British national series!!!! To me this a fantastic achievement for a young driver in such a short space of time, So I asked if Ben Pugh would be willing to do me a short Biography so I could share his success.

I think it shows with the support of his parents and dedication to this hobby how much you can achieve whilst at the same enjoying a great hobby together as a family.

Here is his Bio below!!!

Ben Pugh Kyosho 10th Racer Bio.

I started racing at the age of 12 in 2014. The first car I started with was a Kyosho RB6. I slowly got into the racing scene and gaining more experience, I have raced at many venues and learnt many different surfaces and getting use to jumps. My first serious meeting was the west mid regionals which where I was trying to get an F grade. At this point I had now got a 4wd which was a zx5 .The first year of regionals I was able to pick up my F3 grade and also pick up both of the top u13 shields. Over the winter I was doing winter series outdoors and Friday nights indoors. Going into 2015 I raced at the British winter open championship, and then carried on to do my first year of nationals and my second year of regionals. In my regionals I was able to get my F2 and finishing up 57th in the 2wd nationals and 53rd in the 4wd nationals. Again in my regional I got top u13 shields. Coming towards the end of the season I went to the end of season finals to compete in the u13. I was able to win in the 2wd and finish 5th with my 4wd. Now going into the 2016 series I had changed my rb6 to an rz6 and my zx5 to a zx6. Again I started the season with the British winter open championship to then do my 3rd regional series and 2nd national series. In my regionals I finished 8th in the 2wd and 10th in the 4wd and picked up the top u16 shields. With the national series I was able to finish 31st in the 2wd and 39th in the 4wd. With these results in the national series I had got my F1 grade and I was so happy. Coming towards the end of the 2016 series I attended the u16 championship finishing 3rd in the 2wd and 2nd in the 4wd. I now had only one serious event left and that was the F2s. I finished 12th in the 2wd and 4th in the 4wd. I’m loving my kyosho car and now using my new rb6.6 and also using my zx6. Look forward to next season where I will be competing at club, regional and national level. Over these few years I have learnt many different surfaces and getting use to jumps.

Here are my national results for 2015 and 2016.

2015 2wd, 57th place overall

2015 4wd, 53rd place overall

2016 2wd, 31st place overall

2016 4wd 39th place overall
